Centenary Swimming Announces the Addition of a Pair of Ladies for 2018-19

SHREVEPORT, La. - Centenary swimming and head coach Butch Jordan announces a pair of incoming Ladies from Alexandria Senior High School for the 2018-19 school year.

Here is a closer look at both incoming swimmers:

Sarah Harrison

Sophomore

Breaststroke/Mid-Distance Freestyle | 5-10

Alexandria, La. | Alexandria Senior HS

Harrison swam for head coach Wally Fall at Alexandra Senior High School. Serving as co-captain her senior year, she won an individual title at the conference championship in the 100 breaststroke in 2015. Harrison is also the school record holder in the 100 breaststroke.

The daughter of Rick and Julie Harrison, she has a brother, former Gents swimmer Zachary Harrison. At Centenary, she intends to major in business.

Coach Jordan on Harrison: "I recruited Sarah hard while she was in high school, but she chose to not swim and attend LSU. We are very excited that she has decided to transfer and become a member of the Ladies. She will be a tremendous asset when she gets back in swimming shape, as I think she has a lot of untapped talent. We are very happy to have her for the next three years."

Brianna Serret

Freshman

Backstroke and Butterfly | 5-7

Alexandria, La. | Alexandria Senior HS

Serret swam the 100 butterfly and backstroke as well as the 200 IM for head coach Wally Fall at Alexandria Senior High School. She holds 7-of-13 school records for the Trojans. She helped Alexandria finish conference runner-up in both 2014 and 2015, individually winning the 100 butterfly in 2014 and 2016.

Academically, Serret graduated in the top five percent of her class.

Serret is the daughter of Patrick and Michelle Serret and has one sister, Brylee. At Centenary, she intends to major in biology.

Coach Jordan on Brianna: "We are very excited to be adding Brianna to our Ladies roster. She is a very versatile swimmer that has the ability to have a major impact for us at the SCAC Championship in several events. Brianna will be a very important member of our relays all season long. I feel that she has the potential to improve in her best events as well as some events that she has not really explored."
