Seven More Event Wins Come Centenary Swimmingâ??s Way on Final Day at Ouachita Baptist

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - Centenary senior Zachary Harrison and freshman McRee Smith both claimed a pair of wins for the Gents, while junior Elena Ring captured a pair of wins for the Ladies as the swim team wrapped up day two against Ouachita Baptist and the University of the Ozarks.

Harrison, usually a 100-200 freestyle swimmer, competed in the 50 and 500 and won both events. He and senior Roberto Roig-Perez went 1-2 in the 50 free with times of 22.45 and 24.33, respectively, while Harrison won the 500 free in 4:59.05. Smith won the 50 butterfly in 24.58, while he won the 100 free with a mark of 51.10.

Ring and freshman Jesse Hageman took the top two spots in the 50 backstroke with times of 31.40 and 32.82, respectively, to lead the Ladies. Ring also won the 50 butterfly to complete the Centenary sweep in the event with a time if 28.28.

Rounding out the top finishers for Centenary was senior Caitlyn Faulhaber, who finished 1-2 in the 50 free with Hageman. Faulhaber touched the wall in 27.18, while Hageman clocked in at 28.63.

Centenary swimming returns to action Thursday night, October 5, when it hosts Hendrix for its home opener.
