The Gents (3-10-1, 0-5 SCAC) will aim to snap a nine-game losing streak on Friday in their final home match of the season. The Tigers (9-2-1, 3-0-1 SCAC) have won two-straight matches and are 4-2 on the road this season. Centenary is 3-4 at Mayo Field this season and the Maroon and White are an impressive 13-8-1 at home since the start of the 2019 season.

Centenary dropped a 3-1 decision to the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs on Sunday at Mayo Field after falling 1-0 to Southwestern last Friday. The Gents started quickly on Sunday against the Bulldogs as they scored first as junior D David Barbera (Gonzales, La.) stuffed a header into the net following a corner kick from senior Cole Schultz (Denham Spring, La.) just over a minute into the match. TLU's Nestor Ayala evened the match in the 21st minute with a goal of his own, following a corner kick.

The first ended in the 1-1 tie and then the Bulldogs' Luis Green scored a pair of second-half goals for the 3-1 final margin. Senior GK Sami Borchalli (Lafayette, La.) played the entire match for the Gents and recorded eight saves, just one shy of his season-high of nine that he tallied at Trinity on Oct. 1. Borchalli ranks third in the conference in saves (51) and eighth in goals against average (1.67).

The Gents and Tigers are meeting for the first time since the quarterfinals of the 2020 SCAC Championship at Mayo Field, a match which the Gents won 2-1 in thrilling fashion on their way to the conference championship on their home field this past April.
