Softball Selected as "Team of the Week"
The Centenary softball team has been selected as Centenary Athletics' "Team of the Week" after the Ladies completed a three-game series sweep over the Schreiner University Mountaineers in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play this past weekend at home.
Shreveport – The Centenary softball team has been selected as Centenary Athletics' "Team of the Week" after the Ladies completed a three-game series sweep over the Schreiner University Mountaineers in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play this past weekend at home.
The Ladies (12-14, 7-2 SCAC) blanked the Mountaineers 8-0 in six innings in the series opener on Friday and then swept a doubleheader on Saturday, winning game one by a score of 5-0 and taking game two, 5-1, as Centenary is off to its best start in conference play since beginning the 2019 campaign 8-0.
Centenary hits the road this weekend to face the Southwestern University Pirates in a three-game series beginning Friday in Georgetown, Texas.
