Schroeder was one of two members of the XULA program to repeat as one of the individual superlative winners, as Ashley Cordeiro was tabbed the state's Coach of the Year for the second straight season.
In addition, Xavier's Samira Roper was one of three honorees sharing Newcomer of the Year honors, along with Sydney Cheesman of LSU and Kendall Curran of Southeastern. ULM goalkeeper Jennifer Handy was selected as the Freshman of the Year.
Schroeder was an overwhelming choice as the state's top player after finishing with 14 goals and 17 assists. Cheesman shared Newcomer of the Year honors with Roper and Curran. The Lafayette, Colorado native was a third team All-SEC choice in her opening campaign with the Tigers. In addition to playing a key role in the LSU backfield, she also paced her squad with four assists in 2024.
Handy made an immediate impact in net for the Warhawks. The Rotherham, England product tied a single-season school record with seven shutouts, finishing with a 1.34 goals against average for ULM.
