Jackson, Miss. – The Centenary women's basketball team will play a pair of non-conference games this weekend in the Millsaps College Thanksgiving Classic beginning with a game against the host Majors on Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Hangar Dome.

The Ladies (0-6) will then face Birmingham-Southern College on Sunday at 1 p.m. Huntingdon College is also part of the field but the Ladies will not play the Hawks. Live stats and live video are available for all of the games at the link below:

Birmingham-Southern will face Huntingdon on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the tournament opener and Millsaps will face Huntingdon on Sunday at 3 p.m. Centenary is 3-9 all-time versus Millsaps and 3-8 against Birmingham-Southern but defeated the Panthers 89-82 on the road last season.

Centenary fell 77-47 to the Hendrix College Warriors on Monday evening in a non-conference game in Conway, Ark. in its most recent action. Millsaps (4-2) has won three games in a row and beat St. Thomas 78-70 on Sunday in Houston. Centenary and Hendrix were meeting for the second time in a matter of just four days after Hendrix edged the Maroon and White, 63-62 on Nov. 18 at the Gold Dome.

Freshman G Madison Davis (Shreveport, La.) led the Ladies with 11 points in Monday's loss as she was the only Centenary player to reach double figures. Davis finished 4-11 overall from the floor in 25 minutes off the bench and was 3-9 from beyond the arc. She also scored 11 versus Hendrix last Friday. She added a pair of rebounds and one steal. Freshman G Brailey Major (Opelousas, La.) scored nine in 17 minutes on 4-6 shooting with one assist and one steal.

Senior F Jazzmyn Jones (Normangee, Texas) added eight points and a team-high eight rebounds in 28 minutes. She was 4-8 shooting overall with an assist and a steal. Sophomore G Alana Jones (Shreveport, La.) scored seven in 35 minutes with seven rebounds on 2-6 shooting. She was 2-2 from the free throw line and 1-2 from beyond the arc with two assists and a steal.

Freshman G Amiyah Barrow (Baton Rouge, La.) chipped in four points and grabbed two boards in just 14 minutes with a pair of steals. Senior F Amelia Bagwell (West Monroe, La.) also scored four in 18 minutes with two rebounds and a blocked shot and was 2-2 from the floor. Sophomore G Dymon Drumgo (Alexandria, La.) scored three in 16 minutes on 1-6 shooting and went 1-2 from the free throw line. She grabbed three rebounds with an assist and a steal.

Freshman G TaNyjah Plumber (Kinder, La.), freshman G Olivia Sepulvado (Zwolle, La.), freshman G Keyonna Armelin (New Iberia, La.), freshman G Lauren Castillo (Keller, Texas), and senior G Patience Bates (Houston, Texas) all played but did not score. Sophomore G Cairah Green (Zachary, La.) made her Ladies' debut and played two minutes and scored one point as she went 1-2 at the free throw line.

Alana Jones and Jazzmyn Jones have gotten off to superb starts for the Ladies this season as each grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds and recorded double-doubles in the Ladies' 63-62 loss to Hendrix on Nov. 18 as Alana Jones scored 13 points and Jazzmyn Jones had 11. Alana Jones is the Ladies' leading scorer through six games, averaging 11.5 PPG while Jazzmyn Jones is second at 9.5 PPG. Alana Jones is the team leader in rebounding at 8.5 per game, just ahead of Jazzmyn Jones at 8.0.
