Ladies Tee Off In The Legends Cup on Monday

Kingsland, Texas – The Centenary women's golf team will tee off in The Legends Cup on Monday as the Ladies play their second tournament of the fall season at Legends Golf Club.

The Ladies, who finished ninth in the Lady Bulldog Classic hosted by Texas Lutheran University on Sept. 11-12, are one of 11 teams competing at the par 72, 5,727-yard course. The field will play 18 holes on Monday and the final 18 holes on Tuesday. University of Mary Hardin-Baylor will serve as the host of the tournament.

Centenary shot a 179-over par 747 in the Lady Bulldog Classic last month, which included a 90-over 374 in the final round after an 89-over par 373in round one. Freshman Mya Thompson (South Jordan, Utah) earned the Ladies' top finish as she shot a 34-over par 176 with a final-round 16-over par 87 preceded by an 18-over 89 in her first collegiate round and finished in a tie for 43rd place.

Freshman Hailey Adams (Hamburg, Ark.) finished 47th, freshman Jordyn Templeton (Columbus, Texas) finished in 50th place and sophomore Kaylee Roberts (Watonga, Okla.) was right behind her in 51st place. Freshman Mia Knox (Chicago, Ill.) finished 52nd. 

The host Cru and Ladies will be joined in this week's field by the University of Dallas, East Texas Baptist University, Hardin-Simmons University, McMurry University, Millsaps College, Our Lady of the Lake University, Schreiner University, Texas Lutheran University, and University of California at Santa Cruz.

The Ladies' lineup this week will consist of Thompson, Adams, Templeton, and Roberts.
