Whitney, Texas - The Centenary women's golf team is in seventh place after round one of the 2024 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships on Sunday as the Ladies shot a 118-over par 406 played on the New Course at White Bluff Golf Resort.

Trinity University leads the field at 27-over par 315, as the Tigers are 13 shots ahead of designated tournament host Southwestern University (+40 – 328). The University of St. Thomas is third (+43 – 331), the University of Dallas is in fourth place (+69 – 357), Schreiner University is fifth (+81 – 369), and Texas Lutheran University is in sixth place in front of the Ladies at 106-over par 394.
Round two is set to begin at 8:30 a.m. on Monday at the par-72, 5,688-yard course. The third and final round will be held on Tuesday. Trinity is the defending women's champion. Southwestern's Ryleigh Erickson is the individual leader after one round as she shot a 2-over par 74.
Freshman Hailey Adams (Hamburg, Ark.) shot the Ladies' lowest round on Sunday as she turned in a 25-over par 97 and is in 26th place. Sophomore Kaylee Roberts (Watonga, Okla.) shot a 28-over par 100 and is tied for 27th place while freshman Jordyn Templeton (Columbus, Texas) in a tie for 29th after shooting a 29-over 101. Freshman Mya Thompson (South Jordan, Utah) shot a 36-over par 108 and is in 33rd place.
