Gents Blast Bulldogs 27-0 In Exhibition Contest

Shreveport – The Centenary lacrosse team routed the Louisiana Tech University Bulldogs by a score of 27-0 on Sunday afternoon in an exhibition contest at Mayo Field.

The Gents prepped for their 2024 regular season by looking sharp on both sides of the ball. Centenary will play a second exhibition match, also at home, against Southeastern Louisiana University on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 5 p.m.

The Gents, led by fourth-year head coach Billy LeClair, feature a deep roster this season that blends experience and talent as eight freshmen join 14 returners this season.

Centenary finished 2-10 overall and 0-2 in Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference (HCLC) play last season and will be an independent this season as the Maroon and White are no longer an HCLC member.

Centenary opens its regular season on Saturday, Feb. 10 at 1 p.m. against the Reinhardt University Eagles in Waleska, Ga. Reinhardt is an NAIA school. The Gents' home opener is set for Saturday, Feb. 24 against Huntingdon College at 1 p.m.
