Gents Fall At Trine On Friday

Angola, Ind.  The Centenary lacrosse team fell 17-1 to the Trine University Thunder on Friday afternoon in a non-conference contest at Zollner Stadium.

The Gents (1-8) are in the midst of their longest road trip of the season which started on Wednesday with a 12-11 loss to the Earlham College Quakers in Richmond, Ind. Trine improved to 4-5 with Friday's win.

Trine led 5-0 after a quarter and added four in the second period for a 9-0 halftime lead. The Thunder outscored the Gents 3-1 in the third and outscored them 5-0 in the final period to cruise to the win.

Senior M Jordan Cook (Bryant, Ark.) scored Centenary's lone goal of the game as he found the net at the 9:08 mark of the third period. Junior Dylan Miller (Shreveport, La.) played all 60 minutes in goal for the Gents and made 19 saves. Nick DiPaolo, the first of five goalies for the Thunder, picked up the victory and made four saves.

The Gents will face the University of Dubuque Spartans on Monday in Dubuque, Iowa at 4 p.m.
