The Gents (0-1) aim to shake off a disappointing 8-0 loss in their season opener on Friday at University of the Ozarks.

Centenary played a pair of goalies as junior Sam Brocato (Leesville, La.) started and allowed seven goals in his 49:18. Junior Casey Clemo (Forney, Texas) relieved him and allowed one goal in 40:42 of action.

The Gents fell behind 5-0 at halftime and allowed three second-half goals to the Eagles (1-0) as Ozarks finished with a 13-7 advantage in shots and was led by Erick Garcia's two goals.

Sunday's match is the first of eight at home this season, one of three-consecutive matches, and one of five on the Gents' home turf this month. The Maroon and White will face The Mississippi University for Women Owls (Sept. 8) and Huntingdon College Hawks (Sept. 10) next weekend at home.

The Gents are 15-11-5 at home over the last four seasons and in eight home matches last season, they allowed one goal or less in a match six times. McMurry (1-0) opened its season with a 1-0 shutout over Millsaps on Friday in Jackson, Miss. Centenary and McMurry met last season and finished in a 3-3 tie in Irving, Texas.
