The Gents (3-6-2, 0-3 SCAC) are eager to get back on the field following a tough 2-0 home loss to the Southwestern University Pirates on Sunday afternoon. Dallas (1-7-3, 0-2-1 SCAC) earned a 1-1 tie on Sunday at Schreiner in Kerrville, Texas. The Crusaders are 1-3-2 at home this season while the Gents are 0-2-1 on the road.

Centenary and Southwestern battled to a scoreless draw at the half until the Pirates scored twice in the second half to secure the win in a physical, intense match. Centenary lost 5-0 to nationally-ranked Texas Lutheran on Friday.

Gents' junior GK Casey Clemo (Forney, Texas) made his first start in nearly a month and showed no signs of rust as he played all 90 minutes and made three first-half saves to keep the Pirates off the scoreboard.

Clemo made five more critical saves in the second half to give him eight on the afternoon, one away from his season-high of nine against Birmingham-Southern back on Sept. 16. He ranks sixth in the conference in saves (27) this season and seventh in goals against average (1.85).

Junior Sam Brocato (Leesville, La.) has played in six matches and made four starts as he has shared time with Clemo. He has made 24 saves, eighth-most in the conference, with a season-high seven against Howard Payne on Sept. 23.

Senior F Rene Escobar (Cypress, Texas) is the Gents' leader in goals with three and points with seven. Senior F/MF Michael Smith (Baton Rouge, La.) leads in assists with two. Junior F Ron Masti (Houston, Texas) is second on the team in goals with two and has one assist for a total of five points. Ten different Gents have scored a goal this season and seven have tallied at least one assist.

The Gents lead the Crusaders, 11-10, in the all-time series and have won five in a row dating back to 2019. Centenary picked up a 2-0 win at home last season

About the Crusaders:

Dallas opened its conference slate with a 2-1 loss to Austin College at home on Sept. 30 and then lost 3-0 at Trinity on Oct. 6 before its tie at Schreiner on Sunday.

The Crusaders have scored 12 goals this season, led by two each from sophomore F Luke Wilmington and sophomore MF Alex Melgoza.

Sophomore GK Uday Agarwal is tied for second in the SCAC in saves (35) and ranks eighth in GAA (2.29).
