The Gents (4-7-3, 1-4-1 SCAC) look to shake off a disappointing 8-1 loss to the University of St. Thomas Celts last Friday night in Houston. The Mountaineers enter Friday's contest at 4-8-2 overall and 0-5-1 in SCAC play. Schreiner leads the all-time series, 10-5-2 but the Gents are 4-2-2 against the Mountaineers in Shreveport. The teams finished in a 1-1 tie last season at Mayo Field.

Centenary, 3-3-1 at home this season, is back at Mayo Field for the first time since early October as the Maroon and White's last three matches were on the road. The Gents are 1-1-1 in their last three contests with a 3-1 win at Dallas and a 2-2 tie with Austin College preceding the loss to the Celts.

Junior D Dylan Allred (Lafayette, La.) gave the Gents an early lead against St. Thomas last Friday as he scored just six minutes into the match off an assist from senior D Enrique Hernandez (Beaumont, Texas). The goal was Allred's second of the season and the assist was Hernandez's first.

Gents' junior GK Casey Clemo (Forney, Texas) started and played the first 78:14, allowing seven goals and making eight saves. Freshman GK Isaac Lilly (New Orleans, La.) made his second appearance of the season and played the final 11:46, allowing one goal and making his first-career save.

Clemo ranks third in the league in saves (53) and is seventh in goals against average (GAA) at 2.38. He has played in 10 matches this season and made eight starts, owns one shutout, and made a season-high 12 saves on Oct. 15 at Austin College. Junior Sam Brocato (Leesville, La.) has played in six matches and made four starts as he has shared time with Clemo but has missed the last four matches due to an injury. He has made 24 saves with a season-high seven against Howard Payne on Sept. 23.

Senior F Rene Escobar (Cypress, Texas) is the Gents' leader in goals with three and points with eight. Senior F/MF Michael Smith (Baton Rouge, La.) and Escobar share the lead in assists with two. Junior F Ron Masti (Houston, Texas), senior MF Hunter Booth (Harrodsburg, Ky.), senior D Adam Bihler (Pittsburgh, Pa.), and Allred each have two goals.

Thirteen different Gents have scored a goal this season and 11 have tallied at least one assist. Centenary, as a team, has scored 19 goals this season along with 13 assists for a total of 51 points.
