Kerrville, Texas- The Centenary women's basketball team is on the road this weekend for a pair of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference contests beginning with a matchup versus the Schreiner University Mountaineers set for 7:30 p.m. inside Stephens Family Arena.

The Ladies (1-13, 0-6 SCAC) dropped a pair of league games at home last weekend, falling to Texas Lutheran on Friday by a score of 80-56 and then battling the Southwestern University Pirates on Sunday before coming up short, 54-42. Schreiner (3-12, 2-4 SCAC) enters Friday's action having lost five games in a row and is just 1-2 at home this season as the Mountaineers have played 12 of their first 15 games on the road or at neutral sites this season.

Centenary averages 53.2 PPG as a team, shoots 30.1 % from the floor, 25.0 % from beyond the arc, 69.1 % from the free throw line, and averages 33.9 rebounds per game and 7.6 assists/game. Centenary has held six opponents to 70 points or less this season and allowed a season-low 54 points to Southwestern on Sunday.

Schreiner averages 61.9 PPG, shoots 37.3 % from the floor, 27.4 % from 3-point range, and 75.3 % from the FT line. The Mountaineers average 34.3 rebounds per game and 9.8 assists/game. The Mountaineers' leading scorer this season is Demauria Miles (15.5 PPG) and she is joined in double-figure scoring by Nariyah Buggs (11.2 PPG). Madison Parham is Schreiner's leading rebounder at 6.3 boards/game. Miles is the SCAC's fourth-leading scorer while Parham ranks in a tie for sixth in rebounding.

Sophomore G Amiyah Barrow (Baton Rouge, La.) is the Ladies' leading scorer this season (12.3 PPG) and ranks seventh in the league. She also ranks eighth in the SCAC in assists per game (2.7) and averages 5.0 rebounds/game and 1.6 steals/game and has reached double figures 10 times this season. Sophomore G TaNyjah Plumber (Kinder, La.) averages 10.1 PPG and has scored in double figures seven times this season and done so in four-straight games.

Sophomore F Layla Powell (Fort Worth, Texas) averages 7.5 PPG and scored a season-high 14 points against Southwestern last weekend to pace the Ladies as she reached double figures for the fourth time this season. Sophomore F Kyra Stokes (Shreveport, La.) is averaging 6.9 PPG and is the Ladies' leading rebounder at 5.9/game. Stokes has reached double figures three times this season and grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds against the Pirates on Sunday.

Freshman G Mallory Dougharty (Evadale, Texas) averages 4.9 PPG and 2.6 rebounds/game and has reached doubles once this season as she scored a season-high 11 points at Louisiana Christian on Dec. 19. Sophomore G Madison Davis (Shreveport, La.) averages 3.2 PPG and 1.2 rebounds/game and scored a season-best 10 points last Friday against TLU.

The Ladies complete the weekend road trip on Saturday evening versus the Trinity University Tigers (10-5, 5-1 SCAC) in San Antonio in a game set for 6 p.m. The Tigers face the University of St. Thomas (4-11, 2-4 SCAC) on Friday.
