Shreveport - The Centenary women's basketball team has been selected as Centenary Athletics' "Team of the Week" after the Ladies recorded their first win of the season this past Saturday, 80-69, over the Hendrix College Warriors.
Shreveport - The Centenary women's basketball team has been selected as Centenary Athletics' "Team of the Week" after the Ladies recorded their first win of the season this past Saturday, 80-69, over the Hendrix College Warriors.
The Ladies (1-5) went 1-1 in the Millsaps Thanksgiving Classic in Jackson, Miss. after falling 77-59 to the host Majors. Centenary welcomes Millsaps to town on Wednesday evening for a rematch in a contest set for 5:30 p.m. in the Gold Dome.
Sophomore G TaNyjah Plumber (Kinder, La.) scored a career-high 23 points on Saturday in the win over Hendrix. Plumber recorded her second-career 20-point game and reached double figures for the fifth time. Plumber was 8-18 from the floor in 38 minutes and went 6-15 from beyond the arc with five rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
