
Ladies Fall To Owls In Home Opener On Tuesday
The Centenary women's basketball team fell 94-76 to the Mississippi University for Women (MUW) Owls on Tuesday evening in a non-conference contest and the Ladies' home opener in the Gold Dome.
Shreveport - The Centenary women's basketball team fell 94-76 to the Mississippi University for Women (MUW) Owls on Tuesday evening in a non-conference contest and the Ladies' home opener in the Gold Dome.
The Ladies (1-2) and Owls (1-2) were meeting for the third time as MUW improved to 3-0 all-time in the series.
Freshman G Nevaeh Rivera (Rosepine, La.) was the Ladies' leading scorer with 19 points and was one of four Centenary players to finish in double figures. She was joined by junior F Layla Powell (Fort Worth, Texas) with 16, freshman F Shyanne Phillips (Leesville, La.) had 15, and freshman G Alexis Duhon (Westlake, La.) scored 10.
Conley Langford led all scorers with 31 points for the Owls and was one of four MUW players to reach double figures.
