Ladies Begin Four-Game Road Trip On Friday At Colorado College
The Centenary women's basketball team begins a four-game road trip on Friday as the Ladies will face the Colorado College Tigers in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference contest set for 5:30 PM (6:30 PM central time) inside Reid Arena.

The Ladies (2-12, 1-5 SCAC) look to snap a three-game losing streak after three conference games at home last week to Austin College, Southwestern University, and Texas Lutheran University. The Ladies are 1-4 on the road this season.
The Tigers (13-2, 5-1 SCAC) defeated both Concordia University and McMurry University at home last weekend to improve to 7-0 in Reid Arena this season. Colorado College has beaten Centenary 10 times in a row with the Ladies' last win in the series on Feb. 8, 2019 in Shreveport.
The Ladies are averaging 56.9 PPG, shooting 32.0 % from the floor, 18.0 % from beyond the arc, 66.9 % from the free-throw line, and average 39.9 rebounds/game.

Scoring: Freshman F Shyanne Phillips (Leesville, La.) – 13.2 PPG
Rebounding: Phillips – 12.2 RPG
Assists: Freshman G Nevaeh Rivera (Rosepine, La.) – 2.4/game
Blocks: Phillips and Junior F Kyra Stokes (Shreveport, La.) – 0.5/game each
Steals: Rivera – 2.8/game
Phillips had an impressive week for the Ladies as she averaged 14.3 PPG and 13.3 rebounds/game, recording a double-double against Southwestern last Friday with 23 points to lead all scorers along with a game-high 20 rebounds. Those 20 rebounds are the most in a game by a SCAC player this season and she has performances of 18 and 19 rebounds as she owns the top three rebounding games of the season in the league. She then capped the week with 16 points and 12 rebounds on Sunday against TLU for her eighth double-digit scoring performance of the season and sixth double-double. She added two assists, two blocked shots, a steal went 11-14 at the FT line for the week. Phillips is 13th nationally in rebounds per game.
She was named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week on Jan. 14 after she exploded for a career-high 26 points to lead all scorers in the Ladies' win over Dallas at home on Jan. 12 and added a game-high 19 rebounds for an impressive double-double. Phillips is tied for second in the conference in rebounding, eighth in free-throw %, and ranked in the top 15 in blocked shots, field goal %, and scoring and has now reached double figures six times this season and has recorded four double-doubles.
Rivera is the Ladies' second-leading scorer this season (11.5 PPG) and also averages 4.6 rebounds/game and has eight double-digit scoring performances. She is second in the league in steals per game and is a top-20 scorer. She has topped 20 points twice this season and scored a season-best 22 against Southwestern last Friday. The rookie shoots 34.9 % from the floor and 40 % from the 3-point line this season
Junior F Layla Powell (Fort Worth, Texas) averages 7.6 PPG, freshman F Anaya Yunusah (New Orleans, La.) averages 6.1 PPG, and junior G Amiyah Barrow (Baton Rouge, La.) is averaging 6.0 PPG. Powell has reached double figures five times and is one of the league's top free-throw shooters (81.4 %) as she ranks in the top 10. Yunusah has five double-digit scoring games this season while Barrow has four.

Katherine Auguste is the head coach of the Tigers in her eighth season.
Senior C Zoë Tomlinson leads the way for the Tigers as she was named to the D3Hoops.com National Team of the Week on Tuesday and became the all-time leading rebounder in program history last weekend.
She has been named to the D3Hoops.com team twice this season and been named the SCAC Player of the Week four times. Tomlinson leads the Tigers in scoring (23.4 PPG) and rebounding (14.0).
The Tigers made the SCAC Tournament Championship game last season, held in Shreveport, and lost to Trinity University.
The Ladies will face the University of St. Thomas on Sunday in Houston to wrap up the weekend and then travel to Kerrville, Texas on Jan. 31 to face Schreiner University and to San Antonio on Feb. 1 to face Trinity University.
