Ladies Face Eagles In Weekend SCAC Series
The Centenary softball team is on the road this weekend to face the University of the Ozarks Eagles in a three-game Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference series beginning on Friday with a doubleheader set for 4 and 6 p.m. at the Wilson Athletic Complex.

Clarksville, Ark. – The Centenary softball team is on the road this weekend to face the University of the Ozarks Eagles in a three-game Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference series beginning on Friday with a doubleheader set for 4 and 6 p.m. at the Wilson Athletic Complex.

The Ladies (2-4, 0-2 SCAC) and Eagles (5-5, 4-2 SCAC) will complete the series with a single game on Saturday at Noon. Centenary is 0-2 on the road so far this season while Ozarks is 2-3 at home.
The Ladies aim to snap a four-game losing streak after dropping a pair of league games at home last weekend to the University of St. Thomas which was preceded by a doubleheader sweep at the hands of the Texas A&M University-Texarkana Eagles on Feb. 16. The third game of last weekend's series versus the Celts was rained out and a makeup date is TBD.
Centenary is hitting .240 as a team with a .321 on-base percentage and a .269 slugging percentage. The Ladies have scored 23 runs, recorded 41 hits, drawn 15 walks, and have five extra-base hits, and three stolen bases. Centenary has a 3.99 team ERA with one complete game.
Senior UT Viviana Rivero (Redondo Beach, Calif.) leads the team in hits with eight and RBI with six and is hitting .444 with a .476 OBP and is slugging .444. Junior SS/2B Catherine Stokes (Natchitoches, La.), and senior Abby Touchet (Shreveport, La.) each have five hits and four players each have two RBI – freshman INF Kaitlynn Alello (Denham Springs, La.), junior P/UT Abigail Hodgson (Florence, Texas), sophomore IF Mandy Hoback (Wylie, Texas), and junior C/IF Jaeden Thrasher (Forney, Texas).
Allelo also has four hits and two players have three hits each - sophomore OF Noelle Sandmann (Huntsville, Texas) and junior Laine Sullivan (Prairieville, La.), and sophomore OF Taylor Good (Flower Mound, Texas) has two hits and an RBI.
Senior P Anna Scarbrock (Alexandria, La.) went the distance in the circle in the Ladies' 4-3 win in 10 innings on opening day over Millsaps on Feb. 8 as she allowed just two earned runs with two BB and six K's in nine innings of work for her 21st-career complete game which ranks third in the division III era (2012-present) in program history. She is 1-1 on the season with a 2.55 ERA. Junior P Riley Myers (Shreveport, La.) is 0-1 with a team-low 1.75 ERA and junior P/OF Alexis Roach (Pineville, La.) is 1-1 with a 4.61 ERA. Senior LHP/IF Emma Shepherd (Athens, La.) is 0-1 with a 3.07 ERA.
The Ladies were picked to finish seventh this season in the SCAC preseason coaches' poll this season while the Eagles were picked 10th. Ozarks is in its first season in the conference.
