What's up Centenary Ladies Fans! This is Senior Izzie Plaza taking the reins for this week's Gym
Talk! As the first week of school comes to a close, the Centenary Ladies shined both on and off
the gym floor. The entire team got to watch our freshmen Hayden Cagle, Olivia Williams, and
Brooke Murdoch at President's Convocation this past Tuesday. The Centenary Ladies like to stay
connected with the campus and their fellow classmates shout out to the football team for joining
us for our weekly study hall. The Ladies and Gents focused on learning some study techniques,
how to navigate our school websites, and organizing their calendars. Another call out to Junior
Emma Lavelle for helping the football team and ours learn more about how to be successful as
student-athletes. The Ladies like to make sure that they stay on top of their academics so that they
can really thrive in the gym.
The first week of classes is always crazy, but the Ladies handled the stress with grace as
they dove into their first couple days of open gym. Coach Meg and Coach Joseph have been
leading the Ladies forward to work on their goals for the weeks coming up. It has been so good
seeing everybody together again and I am so excited to see what this year has in store for us
because the girls are looking better than ever. Shout out to our super seniors Kendall Huff and
Lacey Wedge staying with us to give us an even better year.
The Ladies got the opportunity to go to the very first football tailgate on Thursday. We love supporting all athletics and cannot wait to see all of the amazing things that Coach Dawson does with his team for years to come.
On Friday, five of the Ladies got to join Coach Meg and Joseph for a Dean's List dinner at
Ki' Mexico to celebrate their amazing work in the classroom. The Dean's list is designated for
students that acquired a GPA of 3.5 or higher in the previous semester. Shout out to Taylor Ann
Wilson, Kennedy Stephens, Rose Deshler, and Carissa Martinez, even though you guys couldn't
be at the dinner I promise the ladies had a taco just for y'all.
