Hey Ladies Fans! It's Freshman Olivia Williams with this week's Gym Talk. Last week, the Ladies were on the grind to have an amazing time at the intrasquad this Friday (you should definitely be there). We had so many great things happening, so let me tell you!
Starting off with the BAR STARS, Olivia Stratmann has been chosen as Bar Nebular for this week! Stratmann is looking ready for bars this season, and I'm super excited to see what the future has for her and the other bar stars. Everyone on bars has been doing amazing, no doubt about it!
On beam Emma Lavelle has been crowned Beam Queen!! In other beam news, Mylia Vidtor and Hayden Cagle have been killing it on beam! Even with a couple of setbacks, the two are coming back stronger than ever. So, get ready for all the beam queens that you're going to see this coming meet season. The FLOOR ROARS have been doing amazing and are perfecting their routines and passes. Lacey Wedge has been putting her double Arabians on the floor and oh my they are drop dead gorgeous … The Ladies have been cranking out routines and been looking good. We have a couple of fun routines and a couple of serious routines that will give you the chills (good chills of course).
Kendall Huff was chosen by the team for the Beast Award this week! She is a positive person in and outside of the gym and will always help when someone is in need. Kendall has been showing the whole that she has their back and can be reliable. Even when things get hard, she has the grit to get back up and to attack the plan differently. And she does it all with a smile on her face. She truly deserves this award for all of the hard work she has been putting in inside and outside of the gym.
During Saturday practice we were split up into teams, MAROON and WHITE! The Ladies on team MAROON were myself, Hayden, Claire, Olivia, Amy, Emma, Rylie, and Lacey. On the WHITE team were Brooke, Emily, Roxy, Izzie, Kendall, Sophie and Mylia. I saw many spectacular things like Olivia and Roxy making beautiful bar routines, and Rylie and Emma with gorgeous series on beam. The energy was high in the gym and we were all feeling the competitive vibe against one another. As the games came to an end, It was a close call. Drumroll please!.... The winner of this weekend's friendly competition is … TEAM WHITE!!
