Ladies Fall in Regular Season Finale to Austin College, 68-42

SHERMAN, Texas - Centenary (8-17, 5-9 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference) lost to Austin College (20-5, 13-1 SCAC) 68-42 in the regular season finale for both teams Saturday night, February 17.

Junior Jasmine Morris paced the Ladies with 10 points, while freshman Darelzray Bellard came off the bench and also scored 10. Sophomore Deunya Small grabbed 12 rebounds.

The Ladies could not overcome 22 percent (13-for-59) shooting from the field.

Austin College scored the first eight points of the game, and a layup by Bryce Frank to begin the second quarter gave the home team a double-digit lead for good. Frank led the 'Roos with 20 points and 11 rebounds for the double-double.

Centenary returns to action next Friday, February 23, for the first round of the 2018 SCAC Women's Basketball Tournament. The Ladies will be the fifth seed and play fourth-seeded and host Colorado College at 6 p.m. CST (5 p.m. MST).
