For the first time in league history, the first round of this year's postseason event will be played on campus sites around the league with the top four seeds hosting quarterfinal round action beginning this weekend. Normally conducted over one weekend among the top six teams at a single predetermined site, this year the top eight women's teams will qualify for the postseason conference tournament which will stretch over two weekends.
First round play will be conducted Saturday April 17 with the four remaining teams advancing to Texas Lutheran the following weekend. The semifinals will be played Friday, April 23 and the championship match will be Saturday, April 24.
The Centenary women's soccer team have earned the No. 4 seed and will host No. 5 seed Texas Lutheran (3-5-1, 3-3-1 SCAC) on Saturday in a quarterfinal match set for 3 p.m. at Mayo Field. Live stats and live video will be available. Centenary and TLU will meet for the second time this season after the Ladies blanked the Bulldogs, 2-0 on March 27 on the road to set a division III era (2011-present) single-season record for shutouts in a season with seven. The Ladies posted shutouts in seven of their 11 games this season.
The winner of the Ladies-Bulldogs match will face the (1) Trinity vs. (8) Schreiner winner in the semifinals on Friday, April 23 at 11 a.m. in Seguin, Texas as Texas Lutheran will host the semifinal matches and the championship match.
