Shreveport - The Centenary gymnastics team will host a pair of meets this weekend in what promises to be a very special time for the program as it celebrates 60 years of the sport on campus.
The Ladies will begin the weekend with a tri-meet against Alaska Anchorage and Talladega College on Friday at 7 p.m. and it concludes on Sunday for a quad-meet against Alaska, Talladega, and Greenville University at 12:30 p.m.
Friday will also be the annual Sylvia Keiter Memorial Meet and the entire weekend will be a welcome of all Centenary gymnastics' alumnae as close to 50 former Centenary gymnasts are expected to be in attendance this weekend.

Centenary (1-4) recorded its highest team score of the season (187.950) last Sunday as the Ladies finished second in a tri-meet versus host Lindenwood University and Simpson College in St. Charles, Mo. Centenary's top event score of the meet was an impressive 47.875 on vault – its highest vault score of the season and also marks the Ladies' highest score in any event all season.
The Ladies also recorded season-best scores on bars (46.225) and floor (47.475) and their 46.375 on beam is their second-highest of the season, just behind a 46.725 on Jan. 27 against the Greenville University Panthers on the road.
Centenary enters the weekend ranked 83rd in the country in the latest Road to Nationals rankings while Alaska Anchorage, a division 1 program, checks in at 72nd, Greenville, a fellow division III program, is 80th, and Talladega, a division II school, is 75th. This weekend marks Alaska Anchorage's first appearance in Shreveport since 2018. The Ladies and Seawolves faced off twice in Anchorage in 2022.
Sophomore Sophie Schmitz (Trophy Club, Texas) recorded the Ladies' best score of the meet last weekend against Lindenwood and Simpson with a season-high 9.725 to finish sixth on bars. Sophomore Olivia Stratmann (Houston, Texas) was the top finisher on vault with a season-high tying 9.65 to place seventh.
Sophomore Amy Foret (Bedford, Texas) led the way on beam with a season-high 9.70 to place fourth, and the Ladies' top finisher on floor was senior Lacey Wedge (Belle Chasse, La.) with a season and career-high 9.70 to tie for ninth.
Senior Kendall Huff (Riviera, Texas) finished eighth on vault with a season-high 9.625, Wedge was 10th (9.60), senior Isabel Plaza (San Antonio, Texas) was 11th with a season-high tying 9.575, Foret finished 14th (9.425), and Schmitz tied for 16th place with a 9.40.
Senior Rylie Molina (Moss Bluff, La.) had the Ladies' second-best finish on beam behind Foret with a 9.575 to finish sixth. Junior Mylia Vidtor (The Colony, Texas) finished eighth with a 9.35.
Freshman Brooke Murdock (Garland, Texas) had the second-best finish on floor behind Wedge as she earned a season-high 9.55 to tie for 12th, freshman Olivia Williams (Cape Coral, Fla.) was 14th with a 9.475, Plaza finished 15th (9.40), and Huff was 16th with a season-high tying 9.35.
Williams had the Ladies' second-best finish behind Schmitz on bars as she scored a 9.35 to finish eighth, sophomore Claire Flores (Oklahoma City, Okla.) was ninth with a 9.30, and junior Emma Lavelle (Mandeville, La.) finished 11th with a 9.15.
