Shreveport – The Centenary lacrosse team will face the Cornell College Rams on Saturday in its home opener in a non-conference contest set for 11 a.m. at Mayo Field.

The Gents (0-1) aim to shake off a 22-3 season-opening loss at Hendrix on Wednesday in Conway, Ark.

Centenary will compete in the Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference (HCLC) for the second season in a row and will play seven conference contests. The Gents were picked to finish fifth this season in the HCLC preseason poll. The Rams defeated the Gents 16-10 last season at Mayo Field.
