The game was originally scheduled for Thursday, March 16 at 7 p.m. but severe weather is expected in the area on Thursday afternoon and evening so the decision was made to move the game back a day and move the time up.The Gents (0-5) were last in action on Friday as they dominated the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Ragin Cajuns 18-2 in an exhibition game at home. Centenary's last regular-season contest was on March 1 at home when the Maroon and White fell 18-9 to the Hanover College Panthers in an HCLC home contest. Centenary will honor its senior class following the game.

Spalding (0-7) is also looking for its first win of the season and enters Friday's play 0-4 on the road after a 29-1 loss at Southwestern on Tuesday. Spalding is a fellow division III school located in Louisville, Ky.

Centenary's nine goals scored against Hanover are a season high after previously scoring eight twice. Senior John Mark Waniewski (Bossier City, La.) recorded a hat trick versus Hanover to give him eight goals this season. Sophomore A G'Colby Spivey (Dallas, Texas) scored the Gents' first goal of the game six minutes into the game and now has eight to match Waniewski for the team lead.

Junior M/A Kyle Comi (Allen, Texas) and freshman A Liam Johns (Shreveport, La.) each scored two goals and Johns now has three in the last two games after scoring his first-career goal on Sunday at LaGrange. Senior A/MF Mark Temple (Houston, Texas) scored his fifth goal of the season midway through the second period and added an assist on Comi's second goal.

Comi, who scored both of his goals 15 seconds apart from one another early in the fourth quarter, also had two assists for one of the best games of his career. Spivey also had an assist on Waniewski's second goal.

Sophomore GK Alex Nicks-Davis (Nashville, Tenn.) started in goal for the Gents and made one save while allowing three goals. Sophomore GK Jason Turner (Bossier City, La.) came on in relief of Nicks-Davis and played the remaining 55 minutes and made 12 saves. Nicks-Davis leads the team with 45 saves this season while Turner has 22.

Centenary will face Earlham College at 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 18 for its Alumni Spotlight and final home game of the season.
