Soccer Hits the Road for First Conference Games

IRVING, Texas - The Centenary soccer teams hit the road for the first time in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play this weekend when both take on Dallas, with the Ladies taking the field at 3 p.m. and the guys following shortly after.

While the Ladies (2-2-1, 2-0-1 SCAC) have Sunday off, the Gents (0-4-2, 0-2-1) will make the long trek to Colorado Springs, Colorado, to take on Colorado College (3-2-2, 1-1-1) at noon (11 a.m. MDT).

Dallas women enter the weekend 1-4-2 and 0-1-1 in conference, while the Crusader men are 3-1-1 and 2-0-1 in the SCAC.

Another Player of the Week Nod

Atop the SCAC standings, Centenary received a second Conference Player of the Week accolade when freshman goalie Maggie Pitcher posted two shutouts.

Next Up

Centenary will return home the following weekend, September 29 and October 1, when it welcomes Trinity on Friday and Schreiner on Saturday for a pair of doubleheaders. The Ladies kickoff the festivities at 5 p.m. and noon, respectively.
