Gents Soccer Falls to Southwestern, 4-0

GEORGETOWN, Texas - The Gents managed a shot on goal in each half, but the Pirates scored one in the first and three in the second as Centenary (2-9-2, 1-7-1 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference) fell to Southwestern (4-6-3, 2-4-3 SCAC) 4-0 Sunday afternoon, October 8, in Georgetown, Texas.

Senior Kaleb Behm grabbed seven saves on 11 shots faced to lead the Gents in goal. Junior Nick Hammond (first half) and sophomore Alejandro Barboza (second half) had the two shots on goal in the game for the Maroon and White.

Southwestern's Ryan Benner played the first 82:20 in goal and grabbed both saves in the win.

The Pirates Jake Swonke opened the scoring in the 28th minute when his shot went off the post for his fifth goal of the season. After a pair of goals in the 60th and 65th minutes, Brendan Duath scored his first goal of the season to cap the game in the 86th minute.

The Gents return to action Friday, October 13, when it hosts Dallas for senior night. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
