Early Goal Sinks Gents Soccer at Colorado College

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Centenary Gents soccer (0-6-2, 0-4-1 SCAC) concluded its first Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference road trip of the year with a 1-0 loss to Colorado College (5-2-2, 3-1-1) Sunday afternoon, September 24.

In the eighth minute, the Tigers' Tim Huettel put a corner kick in the box, and Griffen Wesley headed the ball into the net for his second goal of the season.

Centenary was outshot 13-2, including 5-1 in shots on goal. Junior Andre Anasi managed the lone Centenary shot on target just a minute into the second half.

Senior goalie Kaleb Behm recorded three saves in the game in goal for Centenary, while Theo Hooker recorded the shutout in goal for Colorado College.

Centenary returns to action Friday, September 29, when it hosts nationally-ranked Trinity. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
