The Ladies (5-12, 1-2 SCAC) dropped two of three games in their first SCAC series of the season at home last weekend to the University of St. Thomas Celts, falling in Sunday's rubber game 10-6 after splitting a doubleheader on Saturday. The Bulldogs (14-2, 3-0 SCAC) enter this weekend ranked fourth in the country by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) and took a break from conference play to sweep Mary Hardin-Baylor in a DH at home on Tuesday.
The series concludes on Saturday with a DH set for Noon and 2 p.m. Severe weather is anticipated in Shreveport on Friday, thus Friday's game is potentially in question.
The Ladies edged the Celts 2-1 in game one of the series and UST responded with a 9-0 win in six innings in the second game. Sophomore P Anna Scarbrock (Alexandria, La.) tossed a complete game, her team-leading fourth of the season, in game one to record the victory. She allowed just one earned run on five hits in her seven innings of work. She did not walk a batter and struck out a pair as she faced 25 batters and threw 77 pitches, 49 for strikes. She is 3-4 this season with a 4.03 ERA and leads the team in wins, ERA, innings pitched (50.1), and complete games. Scarbrock ranks in the top 10 in the conference in wins, ERA, and IP.
Senior LF/SS Kaylea Patridge (Las Vegas, Nev.) ranks in the top 10 in the league in five different categories – batting average (.409), on-base percentage (.480), slugging percentage (.659), total bases (29), and triples (2). Patridge leads the team in four of those five categories, ranking second in triples to junior RF Mackenzie Cox (Alexandria, La.) who lead the way with three.
Patridge is second on the team in hits (18), doubles (4), and RBI (11). She has also scored seven runs and hit one homer with three stolen bases. In 44 at-bats, she as walked four times and only struck out three times.

She is hitting .328 (.375 OBP/.466 slugging) with a team-best 19 hits and 16 runs scored along with seven RBI, two doubles, and four walks. Sophomore C Viviana Rivero (Redondo Beach, Calif.) is batting .353 with a .397 OBP and is slugging .549. She has 18 hits and 15 runs scored (both second on team) with a team-leading three home runs and team-high 13 RBI.
Rivero had a big day at the plate last Sunday against the Celts as she belted a pair of home runs and finished 2-4 with two RBI and two runs scored and became the first Centenary player to hit two HR's in a game since All-American Anna Dunn did so against Dallas on April 14, 2018. Rivero hit a one-out solo homer to center in the third and went deep again to lead off the fifth.
Freshman 3B Jaeden Thrasher (Forney, Texas) is second on the team with two home runs and has 13 RBI, 10 hits, and a team-best five doubles.
