Ladies Set For Final Two Home Games Of Season On Senior Day
The Centenary softball team will play its final two home games of the season on Sunday as the Ladies face the Southwestern University Pirates in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader set for Noon and 2 p.m. on Senior Day at the Centenary Softball Complex.

The Ladies (16-21, 11-8 SCAC) pounded the Pirates (19-19, 12-7 SCAC) by a score of 11-0 on Friday night to open the series with the convincing run-rule win in five innings. The Ladies will recognize their two seniors - senior LF/SS Kaylea Patridge (Las Vegas, Nev.) and senior CF Mallory Stout (Trinity, Texas) following the second game on Sunday.
Centenary and Southwestern have each clinched a berth in next weekend's SCAC Softball Championship set for May 5-7 in San Antonio with Trinity serving as the host. The top six teams in the standings at the conclusion of the regular season qualify for the event. Southwestern is in third place and centenary is fourth. The Ladies snapped the Pirates' six-game winning streak on Friday night while the Maroon and White have won nine of their last 11 games.
Centenary's 11 conference wins marks its most since going 12-10 in the 2019 season and 12 is the most conference games that the Maroon and White have won in a single season in the division III era (2012-present). The Ladies can tie the D3-era single-season record for conference wins on Sunday with one win and set a new mark with a sweep of the DH.
