Shreveport – The Centenary volleyball team was swept in its two final matches of a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Crossover on Saturday afternoon, to Trinity University and the University of Dallas at the Gold Dome.

The Ladies (7-18, 0-12 SCAC) were also swept in a pair of matches on Friday, 3-0 to both the Schreiner University Mountaineers and the Colorado College Tigers. Centenary was joined this weekend by the Austin College, Colorado College, the University of Dallas, Schreiner and Trinity.

The Ladies finished with 25 digs, 12 kills, nine assists, and two solo blocks while the Tigers (23-3, 12-0 SCAC) recorded 41 digs, 38 kills, 35 assists, 14 service aces, and three solo blocks.

Trinity won set one, 25-11, took set two by a count of 25-12, and clinched the sweep in set three, 25-6.

Ladies' Statistical Leaders:

Assists: Sophomore S Meadow Smith (Mansfield, Texas) – 6

Blocks (Solo): Junior RS Jaylin St. Martin (New Orleans, La.) – 2

Digs: Junior OH/DS Kiara Liedy (Sugar Land, Texas) – 10

Kills: St. Martin – 7

Smith added three digs to go with her team-best six assists, St. Martin had a dig, and Liedy also had an assist and a kill. Sophomore DS/L Daly Nagot (Benton, La.) finished with five digs, freshman MB Bailee Henderson (Monroe, La.) tallied three kills and a dig, and freshman S Hailey Hill (La Grange, Texas) recorded three digs and a pair of assists. Senior MB/OH Robin Lemelle (Liberty, Texas) had a kill and Freshman MB/OH Reign McArthur (Midlothian, Texas) and freshman RS/S Victoria Larson (Royse City, Texas) each chipped in one dig.

Match two recap: Dallas 3 Centenary 0:

The Ladies recorded 42 digs, 19 kills, 17 assists, five aces and one solo block while the Crusaders (12-14, 2-10 SCAC) recorded 58 digs, 42 kills, 41 assists, 7 aces, and two solo blocks.

Dallas won set one, 25-16, won set two by a count of 25-15, and secured the sweep in set three, 25-16.

Assists: Smith – 7

Blocks (Solo): McArthur – 1

Digs: Liedy – 9

Kills: St. Martin – 8

Smith also had eight digs and a kill, Nagot added six digs and three assists, McArthur also had two digs, Liedy had a pair of assists, and St. Martin also had two digs.

Hill recorded six digs and five assists, Lemelle had three digs, and Henderson had two kills. Senior OH Madison Schonberg (Harbor City, Calif.) had a dig and a kill, and junior MB Elizabeth Canady (League City, Texas) had one kill. Larson added two kills and freshman OH/DS Mackenzie Haley (Orange, Texas) had five digs and four kills.

The Ladies honored their three seniors – Lemelle, senior OH/RS April Jones (Longview, Texas), and Schonberg, after the Dallas match.

Centenary will face the LeTourneau University (9-11) YellowJackets in its final home contest of the regular season on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
