Conway, Ark. – The Centenary volleyball team is back in action this weekend as the Ladies will play three matches in the 2023 Hendrix Invitational hosted by the Hendrix College Warriors at Grove Gymnasium.

The Ladies (3-2) recorded a sweep over the Wiley College Wildcats in a non-conference contest on Sept. 6 in their most recent match. Centenary took set one 25-16, set two 25-15, and then closed out the 3-0 sweep with a 25-17 win in the third set.
Centenary will face Lyon College in its first match of the weekend on Saturday at Noon, square off against the host Warriors on Saturday at 5 p.m., and then play Mary Hardin-Baylor on Sunday at 3 p.m.
Centenary recorded 43 digs, 35 kills, 34 assists, and nine aces and the Ladies' best statistical set was the third and final one in which they totaled 14 kills and just five errors in 48 total attacks. The Ladies enter the weekend ranked second in the conference in service aces with 33 (1.94 aces per set). The Maroon and White are also ranked third in blocks (eight solo, 42 assisted blocks, 29 total, and 1.71 blocks per set) and third in digs per set (17.59) and have 299 total digs. The Ladies are also fourth in assists per game (10.82) and have 184 total assists this season.
Sophomore S Meadow Smith (Mansfield, Texas) is currently second in the SCAC in assists per set (8.71) and has 148 assists for the season. She also ranks second in service aces (0.65 per set) with 11 for the season, third-most in the league. She posted a match-leading 31 assists and five aces in the win over Wiley and added eight digs. Smith has added 55 digs, 11 kills, and has a .290 hitting percentage (second-highest on team).
Junior OH/DS Kiara Liedy (Sugar Land, Texas) finished with a team-high 12 digs and added a kill. Liedy is fourth in the conference in digs per set (4.35) and has a total of 74 this season along with 10 assists. Sophomore DS/L Daly Nagot (Benton, La.) is sixth in the conference in aces (0.47 per set, eight total) along with 41 digs, and junior MB Elizabeth Canady (League City, Texas) is fourth in kills (2.88 per set, 49 total) as well as 12 digs, three assists, two aces, and a .212 hitting %.
Junior RS Jaylin St. Martin (New Orleans, La.) has 48 digs, 38 kills, four aces, and an assist, senior MB/OH Robin Lemelle (Liberty, Texas) has totaled 42 digs, 14 kills, two aces, and one assist, and freshman RS/S Victoria Larson (Royse City, Texas) has a team-best .389 hitting % with 17 kills, five digs, 16 assists, and just three errors in 36 total attacks.
The Ladies' single-match season high for assists is 47 in their season opener against Millsaps on Sept. 1, most total digs was 80 in that same match, and in kills (50) also versus the Majors. Centenary's high in aces was nine against Wiley in its last action.
