Shreveport – The Centenary volleyball team is back on its home court on Saturday afternoon as the Ladies will take a break from Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play to face the Williams Baptist University Eagles in non-conference contest set for Noon at the Gold Dome.

The Ladies (6-13) aim to snap a three-game losing streak after dropping a trio of matches in conference play last weekend to the University of St. Thomas, Southwestern University, and host Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, Texas.

Williams Baptist, an NAIA school located in Walnut Ridge, Ark., are 4-14 this season and are 1-8 on the road. The Eagles lost to Crowley's Ridge at home on Thursday. Centenary and Williams Baptist have met six times, with the all-time series split 3-3. The Ladies and Eagles split a doubleheader last season in Walnut Ridge.

Centenary is 4-2 at home this season with three sweeps and Saturday is the Ladies' first match at home since a sweep over Tougaloo College back on Sept. 27. The Ladies have totaled 105 service aces, 614 assists, 77 total blocks, 1,012 digs, and 671 kills this season. Centenary averages 10.17 kills per set, 9.30 assists/set, 1.17 blocks/set, 1.59 aces/set, 15.33 digs/set and has a .136 hitting %.

Smith has followed up her impressive rookie season with another fine one as she ranks second in the SCAC in assists and assists per set (7.20). She also has recorded 173 digs (second on team), 32 kills, eight total blocks, and has the fifth-most aces in the league.  

Liedy ranks eighth in the conference in digs per set (4.08) and also has 34 assists, 22 aces (second on team), and a kill. Henderson has 85 kills, 11 digs, two aces, and a pair of assists and Canady has tallied 146 kills, 42 digs, 11 assists, and six aces. St. Martin, who ranks 10th in the conference in kills/set (2.42), also has recorded 167 digs (second on team), 17 aces (fourth on team), and six assists.

Senior MB/OH Robin Lemelle (Liberty, Texas) has 107 digs, 64 kills, eight total blocks, three assists, and two aces. Sophomore DS/L Daly Nagot (Benton, La.) is enjoying an impressive season as she has totaled 132 digs (fourth on team), 26 assists (fourth), 18 aces (third), and four kills.

Freshman RS/S Victoria Larson (Royse City, Texas) has 67 kills, 45 assists, 24 digs, and 12 total blocks, and freshman OH/DS Mackenzie Haley (Orange, Texas) has tallied 67 kills, 52 digs, six total blocks, four assists, and two aces. Freshman S/DS Hannah Dimmel (Navasota, Texas) has 15 digs, seven aces, and five assists, freshman MB/OH Reign McArthur (Midlothian, Texas) has contributed 15 kills, 12 total blocks, eight digs, two assists, and one ace. Senior OH Madison Schonberg (Harbor City, Calif.) has 31 kills, seven digs, two total blocks, and one assist.

Saturday's match is the first of seven-straight home matches for the Ladies before finishing with their final four on the road. Centenary will face Louisiana Christian University on Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 6 p.m. and then play host to a SCAC Crossover Oct. 20-21.
