Well hello hello Lady Gym Fans! It's you senior Lani (no that's not a typo… I'm really a senior now!) with this week's gym talk and I'm SO EXCITED!
The Ladies have really been on the grind inside and outside of the gym! I know y'all have been eager to hear what we've been up to in the gym, so let me share some highlights from the week! Freshman Olivia Stratman caught some beautiful releases this week… talk about a bar swinger, junior Roxy Meyers is bringing out some giants after coming off an injury and making her way to a comeback on those bars, senior Lacey Wedge is coming in hot on vault already landing on comp height mats… like WOW and we can't forget our other vault shaker, sophomore Carissa Martinez getting the twisting vaults up and running, which we love to see! Talk about greatness in the gym this week for the Ladies!
Outside of the gym, the Ladies also spent some of their time volunteering and getting out in the community! The Ladies volunteered at the annual Book Bazaar and I don't think I've seen so many books in one place in my life! We also devoted a Saturday to volunteer at Fusion Fest in Woodworth, La. along with a few other organizations on campus. We had to get up bright and early, which isn't new for us, and we spent the entire day helping the youth in the activities that were set up for the day such as swimming, washing cars, zip lining and so much more! Despite the heat and the few bugs eating us up, it was still such a great experience and the Ladies made the most of it!
I hope you enjoyed the little rundown of the week the Ladies have had! I really missed talking to you guys, so I'm glad I could catch you back up on the great things that have been happening!
