Normal, Ill. – The Centenary gymnastics team posted a team score of 186.200 on Friday evening to finish third in a tri-meet against host Illinois State University and Bowling Green at CEFCU Arena.

The host Redbirds won the meet (195.200) and Bowling Green finished second with a 192.650 score. The Ladies' top event score was a 47.975 on floor followed by a 46.100 on vault, a 46.075 on bars and a 46.050 on beam.

Sophomore Emma Lavelle (Mandeville, La.) finished sixth in the All-Around competition with a 36.200 with her top individual score coming on floor (9.575). Illinois State's Angelica Labat won the AA with a 39.125.

Senior Leilani Johnson (Wichita, Kan.) tied for seventh place on vault with a 9.50. Senior Taylor Ann Wilson (Memphis, Tenn.) was the Ladies' top finisher on bars with a 9.675 to tie for ninth place. Senior Rose Deshler (Hastings, Minn.) and freshman Sophie Schmitz (Trophy Club, Texas) tied for 13^th on bars  (9.250).

Senior Kennedy Stephens (Bella Vista, Ark.) tied for ninth on beam to lead the way in the event for the Ladies with a 9.55 score. Freshman Amy Foret (Bedford, Texas) led the way on floor with an impressive 9.725 to finish eighth. Johnson finished 10^th on floor with a season-best 9.650, Stephens placed 11^th on floor with a 9.60 and Lavelle was 15^th (9.575). Wilson was 16^th on floor with a 9.425 as she was competing in the event for the first time this season.

The Ladies will wrap up the weekend on Sunday versus MIC member and host Lindenwood University and Greenville University in St. Louis, Mo. for a tri-meet at 1 p.m.
