Denton, Texas – Sophomore Carissa Martinez (Albuquerque, N.M.) and senior Taylor Ann Wilson (Memphis, Tenn.) qualified for the event finals at the 2023 USA Gymnastics Women's Collegiate National Championships on Thursday evening inside Kitty Magee Arena on the campus of Texas Women's University.

Martinez (floor) and Wilson (bars) advance to Saturday's finals set for 1 p.m. They were two of eight Centenary Ladies to qualify for the championships along with freshman Amy Foret (Bedford, Texas), senior Kendall Huff (Riviera, Texas), senior Leilani Johnson (Wichita, Kan.), sophomore Emma Lavelle (Mandeville, La.), freshman Sophie Schmitz (Trophy Club, Texas), and senior Kennedy Stephens (Bella Vista, Ark.).

The top five individual scores from each session advanced to the individual finals on Saturday. Martinez tied for third on floor with a new season and career-high 9.85 and Wilson finished fifth on bars with a 9.80.

Martinez was one of four Ladies to compete on vault. Foret tied for 11^th place with a season-high 9.725, Johnson earned a 9.625 to finish in a tie for 24^th place, Martinez tied for 26^th (9.60), and Huff finished 28^th (9.575).

Schmitz earned a season-high 9.775 on bars to tie for sixth place and Foret finished 27^th on bars (9.225). Stephens was the Ladies' top finisher on beam (9.70) as she finished 10^th. Foret tied for seventh place on floor with a 9.80 and Johnson earned a 9.75 to tie for 17^th place. Foret finished seventh in the All-Around (37.700).
