Six Gymnasts Named To CSC Academic All-District® Women's At-Large Team

Greenwood, Ind. – Six Centenary gymnasts were named to the 2024 Academic All-District® Women's At-Large team, selected by College Sports Communicators, on Tuesday.

Senior Kendall Huff (Riviera, Texas), junior Emma Lavelle (Mandeville, La.), senior Izzie Plaza (San Antonio, Texas), sophomore Sophie Schmitz (Trophy Club, Texas), Sophomore Olivia Stratmann (Houston, Texas), and senior Lacey Wedge (Belle Chasse, La.) each earned a spot on the prestigious team.

The 2024 Academic All-District® Women's At-Large team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes at-large honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members.

Huff, Lavelle, and Plaza all made the team for the second year in a row while Schmitz, Stratmann, and Wedge earned the honor for the first time.
