Hailee Leger Named SCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week
Centenary freshman pitcher Hailee Leger (Belle Chasse, La.) has been named the SCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for games played from Monday, February 1 through Sunday, February 7.
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Centenary freshman pitcher Hailee Leger (Belle Chasse, La.) has been named the SCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for games played from Monday, February 1 through Sunday, February 7.
Leger had a superb collegiate debut for the Ladies last weekend in helping lead the Maroon and White to a doubleheader sweep of UT Dallas on Saturday on the road to open the season. Leger tossed a complete-game shutout for her first career win in the circle in game one of the twin bill. Leger struck out seven, did not walk a batter, and scattered seven hits. She threw 98 pitches, 73 for strikes. Leger then came on in relief in game two and picked up the save as she pitched the final three innings and allowed just one hit with one strikeout. Leger finished the day allowing just eight hits while striking out eight without allowing a run, posting a 0.00 ERA in 10 innings of work.
