The Ladies (5-4) were swept in a non-conference doubleheader on Monday by the East Texas Baptist University Tigers by scores of 6-2 and 11-0 in five innings in Marshall, Texas. The 'Roos are 0-2 on the season and have not played in a month after opening the season with a pair of losses to Concordia (Texas) on Feb. 6.

Junior pitcher Ashley Hunter (Benton, La.) was named the SCAC Pitcher of the Week on Monday afternoon after going 2-0 last week as she earned the honor for the first time in her career. Hunter picked up a win over Hendrix on Feb. 25 before returning to the circle on Feb. 27 to earn a win over Millsaps. For the week, Hunter pitched 11 innings, scattering just nine hits, and allowing just two earned runs for an ERA of 1.27. She struck out seven and walked just three, while averaging 4.45 strikeouts per seven innings. She suffered her first loss of the season on Monday in game two of the DH to ETBU to fall to 3-1. She allowed six runs, five earned, on seven hits with three walks and three K's. Hunter, though, leads the Ladies in wins and is 3-1 this season with a 3.11 ERA.

Freshman pitcher Hailee Leger (Belle Chasse, La.) has had a superb start to her collegiate career. She is 2-2 with one save and a complete game in seven appearances (four starts) and has amazingly still not walked a batter this season in 31.2 innings pitched. She has 21 strikeouts and an impressive 1.77 ERA. Freshman right fielder Mackenzie Cox (Alexandria, La.) leads the Ladies with a .333 batting average and a team-high six hits.

Junior shortstop Jaymee Wilkinson (Brazoria, Texas), Sophomore third baseman Britlyn Garrett (Stonewall, La.), and sophomore Kaylea Patridge (Las Vegas, Nev.) all lead the Ladies this season with five hits and Patridge as a team-high three RBI. Senior catcher Brittney Broussard (Rayne, La.) leads the team in runs scored with five.
