San Antonio, Texas - The Centenary softball team fell, 3-0, on Sunday to the Trinity Tigers in the final game of a three-game Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference weekend series at the Trinity Softball Field.

The Ladies (15-14, 8-6 SCAC) and Tigers (10-9, 6-7 SCAC) split a doubleheader on Saturday as Trinity took game one, 9-1 in six innings, and Centenary responding with a 2-1 win in game two. Despite Sunday's loss, the Ladies are 6-3 in their last nine games and are winners of two of the last three series that they have played.

The game was scoreless until the bottom of the fourth inning when the Tigers put all three runs on the board. The Ladies threatened in several innings but could not score, finishing the game with nine runners left on base and made four errors. Trinity starter Allie Holbrook, the game one winner on Saturday, picked up Sunday's win as she went the distance and allowed just four hits with three walks and five strikeouts.

Centenary freshman Hailee Leger (Belle Chasse, La.) was the tough-luck losing pitcher as she pitched six innings and allowed just five hits and three runs (two earned) with two walks and eight strikeouts. She fell to 7-8 on the season.

Ladies' freshman right fielder Mackenzie Cox (Alexandria, La.) went 1-4 with a stolen base, fellow freshman Cambry Bates (Readhimer, La.) was 2-3 with a double, and another freshman, SS Mackenzie Clark (Upland, Calif.) had a pair of walks.

Centenary returns home this weekend to face the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs (23-4, 14-0 SCAC) in a four-game series, the Ladies' final four home contests of the regular season. The teams will play doubleheaders on both Friday (5 & 7 PM) and Saturday (Noon & 2 PM) at the Centenary Softball Complex with the first three games of the series being conference contests. TLU is currently on top of the conference standings while the Ladies are third.
