Kerrville, Texas - The No. 5 seed Centenary softball team defeated the No. 4 seed Southwestern Pirates 10-4 on Friday in the opening game of the 2021 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Championship at Mountaineer Softball Field.
The Ladies (16-19) snapped their six-game losing streak in a big way as they hammered two Southwestern pitchers for 10 runs and 15 hits. Southwestern fell to 14-19 with Friday's loss. Centenary advances to a winners bracket contest at approximately 4 p.m. to face No. 1 seed Texas Lutheran. PLEASE CHECK BACK LATER FOR A COMPLETE RECAP OF BOTH GAMES.
