The Ladies (15-13, 8-5 SCAC) have won six of eight games and go for their third-straight series win on Sunday after sweeping Dallas on the road two weeks ago and winning two of three games over Southwestern last weekend at home. Trinity is now 9-9 overall and 5-7 in SCAC play.

Game one recap:

The Tigers broke a 1-1 tie in game one with four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and added four more runs over the final two innings to pick up the win. Ladies' freshman Hailee Leger (Belle Chasse, La.) suffered the loss to fall to 7-7 on the season as she allowed five runs, four earned, and six hits with four walks and two strikeouts. Junior Kirstyn Gomez (Deer Park, Texas) came on in relief and pitched the final 1.2 innings and allowed four runs, three earned, and four hits with two walks and one strikeout.

Trinity starter Allie Holbrook earned the win to improve to 6-4. She allowed one earned run and three hits in five innings of work with no walks and six strikeouts. Brooke Porter pitched the final inning and did not allow any runs or hits nor did she walk or strike out a batter.

The Tigers collected 10 hits and held the ladies to just three. Three players; 2B Sammie Whitman, Trinity's leadoff batter, CF Gina Monaco, and 3B Marina Delaluna each had multi-hit games led by three hits from Whitman. Monaco and Delaluna combined for five RBI and 1B Jordyn Williams drove in three.

Ladies' freshman right fielder Mackenzie Cox (Alexandria, La.), senior C Erin Lewis (Leesville, La.), and sophomore third baseman Britlyn Garrett (Stonewall. La.) had the Ladies' three hits. Garrett added a stolen base.

Game two recap:

The Tigers got on the board first with a single run in the bottom of the second inning but the Ladies immediately responded with a pair in the top of the third and starting pitcher, junior Ashley Hunter (Benton, La.) made it stand as she pitched a complete game to get the win and improve to 5-3.

Hunter allowed just that one run, which was earned, on five hits with a walk and seven strikeouts. She threw 94 pitches, 63 for strikes. Trinity starter Cat Patterson suffered the loss to fall to 2-5 as she allowed two earned runs and four hits with a walk and three K's. Holbrook relieved her and pitched two innings and did not allow a run or hit and recorded three strikeouts.

Trinity scored on a wild pitch by Hunter but then in the next half inning, sophomore LF Kaylea Patridge (Las Vegas, Nev.) tripled with two outs to score Cox and then Patridge crossed home plate on a wild pitch for the 2-1 lead.

Cox, Patridge, Freshman Cambry Bates (Readhimer, La.), and sophomore CF Mallory Stout (Trinity, Texas) collected hits for the ladies and Garrett stole another base, giving her 10 on the season.
