
Ethan Hamilton Named Volunteer Assistant For Volleyball Program
Ethan Hamilton has been named a volunteer assistant coach for the Centenary volleyball program, head coach Kayla Black and Director of Athletics and Recreation David Orr announced on Friday.
Shreveport – Ethan Hamilton has been named a volunteer assistant coach for the Centenary volleyball program, head coach Kayla Black and Director of Athletics and Recreation David Orr announced on Friday.
Hamilton, a native of Canyon, Texas, is currently serving in the Air Force as a Contracting Specialist at Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City since 2022.
"I am so excited to bring Ethan on board," said Black.
"I believe his passion for the sport and level of intensity are going to elevate this program in so many ways!"
"Ethan's Airforce background brings a culture of discipline and structure that is vital for our success in the near future."
Black, who was named head coach in March, is an Atlanta, Ga. native, and comes to Centenary after two seasons as head coach at Philander Smith University in Little Rock, Ark. She won 36 games in her two seasons with the Panthers, including an 18-10 mark in conference play. Black made an immediate impact at Philander Smith as she led the Panthers to a 22-10 record and 9-3 mark in conference play en route to an appearance in the NAIA National Tournament in her first season in 2022-23.
