
Ladies Set To Face Colorado College Friday Night On Road
The Centenary women's basketball team makes its return to the court on Friday for the first time in 19 days as the Ladies are set to face the Colorado College Tigers in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference contest set for 7:30 p.m. inside Reid Arena.

The Ladies (3-8, 1-2 SCAC) enter Friday's game looking to shake off a pair of home losses to Dallas and Trinity which followed two-straight wins in early December. Centenary fell to Dallas 60-43 on Dec. 17 and dropped an 83-50 decision to Trinity on Dec. 19 in its most recent action. The Tigers (5-8, 2-2 SCAC) have won two in a row and are currently fourth in the conference standings while the Ladies are seventh. Centenary is in search of its first win over the Tigers since recording a 72-52 blowout victory at home on Feb. 8, 2019.
Sophomore guard Addy Tremie (Sulphur, La.) enters the game as the Ladies' leading scorer this season averaging 12.3 PPG. She led Centenary with a career-high 25 points on 9-15 shooting in 40 minutes of action versus Trinity. She was 3-6 from beyond the arc and 4-4 from the free throw line. Tremie grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds for her second double-double of the season.
Tremie has made at least three treys in a game and her four free throws made versus the Tigers was a season best. She recorded her third 20+ point performance of the season and fourth of her young career. She is currently sixth in the conference in both scoring and rebounding as she grabs 7.6 boards per game. Tremie also ranks 14th in field goal percentage, shooting an even 40 % overall from the floor. The sensational sophomore has averaged the most minutes played per game (37.3/game) of any player in the conference, is tied for fourth in the league in defensive rebounds, and is sixth in three-point field goals made, and three-point FG %.
Junior F Jazzmyn Jones (Normangee, Texas) is also having a great season as she is averaging 11.3 PPG and 5.2 rebounds per game. She has reached double figures seven times and has grabbed at least five rebounds in a game seven times this season. She is tied for fourth in the SCAC in field-goal percentage (50 %) and Jones ranks fourth in the league in steals, 12th in scoring, tied for 13th in offensive rebounds, and 20th in overall rebounding.
Junior Destini Powell (Minden, La.) ranks ninth in the conference in scoring, averaging 11.5 PPG and 11th in rebounding, grabbing 6.8 board per game. Powell ranks seventh in the conference in defensive rebounds and is tied for 15th in three pointers made.
Powell scored a career-high 33 points in the Ladies' 89-82 win at Birmingham-Southern on Dec. 4. The 33 points are the second-highest single-game total by a SCAC player this season. She has scored in double figures five times this season and topped 20 points three times with one double-double.
Senior G Jennae Mayberry (Clovis, Calif.) has started all 10 games this season and is averaging 3.5 PPG, 4.9 rebounds per game, and 2.0 assists/game which is tied for 13th in the conference. Freshman G Alana Jones (Shreveport) is averaging 4.6 PPG and 4.0 rebounds per game, junior F Amelia Bagwell (West Monroe, La.) averages 3.8 PPG and grabs 3.5 rebounds per game, and freshman G Mary Leday (Opelousas, La.) is averaging 6.0 PPG and 2.4 rebounds per game.
Centenary is third in rebounding offense, averaging 42.0 per game and fourth in rebounding defense (43.0/game). The Ladies, despite the lopsided loss to Trinity in their most recent game, turned in an impressive offensive performance as they shot 42.6 % overall from the floor (20-47), their second-best shooting % in a single game all season.
The Ladies grabbed at least 40 rebounds in a game for the seventh time and tied their season high with 12 steals. Centenary also tallied nine assists and blocked a pair of shots.
Audrey Bayston is the Tigers' top scorer this season, averaging 14.8 PPG which ranks second in the conference. Zoe Tomlinson is CC's top rebounder as she grabs 7.2 per game to rank ninth in the SCAC.
The Tigers rank second in the league in scoring, averaging 69.5 PPG and are third in field goal % at .398. CC is strong on the glass as the Tigers are currently second in the SCAC in rebounding offense and third in rebounding defense.
