The Ladies (0-4-1, 0-1 SCAC) earned a hard-fought 0-0 tie with the Belhaven University Blazers in a non-conference contest on Tuesday in Jackson, Miss. in their most recent action. St. Thomas (2-1-1, 1-0 SCAC) is also coming off of a 0-0 tie in its most recent match last Saturday at home versus McMurry. Friday's contest is a rematch of the SCAC opener between the Ladies and Celts, won 2-1 by St. Thomas back on Sept. 3 in Shreveport.

St. Thomas took a 1-0 lead just over eight minutes into the match earlier this month as Karson Funderburk converted a penalty kick after being fouled inside the box. That score held until the 77th minute when Emily McCoy broke past the Ladies' defense and scored an unassisted goal to make it 2-0.

The Ladies, however, answered with a score just over four minutes later as junior D Alexa Hinojosa (Pasadena, Texas) found the net following a corner kick by senior MF/D Gabby McDonald (Pasadena, Texas) in the 82nd minute. The Celts, though, were able to keep the Ladies off of the board for the final nine minutes and secure the win.

Junior GK Karlie Delhommer (St. Amant, La.) played all 90 minutes for the Ladies and allowed the two goals while recording eight saves. Celts' GK Carmen Lozada also went the distance and had a quiet night as she allowed the one goal but did not make a save. St. Thomas finished with a decisive edge in shots (22-6) and took six corner kicks to the Ladies' two. The match featured 33 combined fouls and four yellow cards.

Centenary played a pair of goalkeepers on Tuesday at Belhaven as sophomore GK Madison Ersoff (Shreveport, La.) started and played the first half and Delhommer relieved her and played the entire second half. Ersoff recorded one save while Delhommer picked up four.

Belhaven finished with a 12-5 advantage in shots and took two corner kicks to just one for Centenary. The teams combined for 15 fouls and the Blazers received the lone yellow card issued in the match.

Centenary is back home on Sunday to face LeTourneau University in a non-conference match set for 5 p.m. at Mayo Field.
