The Ladies (2-11-1, 2-6 SCAC) completed a weekend sweep of conference opponents at home after defeating Austin College 5-1 last Friday and Dallas 1-0 on Sunday. Centenary snapped a seven-game losing streak and won for the first time this season on Friday night and the Maroon and White held its second opponent scoreless this season with the 1-0 blanking of Dallas after previously doing so in a 0-0 tie at Belhaven on Sept. 13.

Texas Lutheran enters Friday's contest at 6-6-1 overall and 6-2 in league play. The Bulldogs, 4-3-1 at home this season, recorded a 2-0 win over the Ladies at Mayo Field on Sept. 30 in the previous meeting between the teams. TLU defeated Southwester, 2-1, at home in its most recent match.

The Ladies wasted no time in taking the lead on Sunday against the Crusaders as senior MF/D Gabby McDonald (Pasadena, Texas) found the net just over a minute into the match to give the Maroon and White an early 1-0 advantage. McDonald, who scored the first of Centenary's five goals in its rout of the 'Roos on Friday, now has two goals this season and 11 in her career as she is tied for seventh place in the division III era (2011-present) in goals scored.

The stingy Centenary defense made that lead stand for the next 89 minutes as sophomore GK Madison Ersoff (Shreveport, La.) played all 90 minutes and made three saves. Ersoff currently ranks third in the conference in saves this season with 51 and is eighth in goals against average (GAA) at 2.01.

Senior F Sydney Bascomb (Mesquite, Texas) needs just one more assist to become the all-time leader in the division III era (2011-present) in the category. She has scored on goal this season good for two points and lead the team in shots (29) which ranks in a tie for fifth place in the conference. Five Ladies - McDonald, MF Celeste Muniz (Denton, Texas), junior D Alexa Hinojosa (Pasadena, Texas),  senior F Daisy Acosta (Deer Park, Texas), and senior D Haleigh Gangloff (Pearland, Texas) are tied for the team lead in goals with two each. McDonald and senior F Avery Gilbert (League City, Texas) are tied for the lead in assists with two.

The Ladies wrap up the weekend with a match at Southwestern on Sunday, Oct. 16 at 1 p.m. in Georgetown, Texas.
