Shreveport - The Centenary women's soccer team will play its first Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference contest at home on Friday as the Ladies welcome the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs to town for a 6 p.m. contest at Mayo Field.

The Ladies (0-9-1, 0-2 SCAC) are still in search of their first win of the season after being shutout 3-0 at Trinity last Sunday afternoon in San Antonio. Centenary began the weekend with a 2-0 loss at Schreiner. Texas Lutheran enters Friday's contest at 2-5-1 overall and 2-1 in SCAC play.
The Ladies and Bulldogs split the season series last season as TLU won 1-0 in Seguin and then the Ladies returned the favor with a trilling 2-1 victory at home on Senior Day.
Sophomore GK Madison Ersoff (Shreveport, La.) played all 90 minutes for the Ladies last Sunday at Trinity and made a season and single-game career-high nine saves. Her previous best was eight versus ETBU last season at home. Senior F Sydney Bascomb (Mesquite, Texas) needs just one more assist to become the all-time leader in the division III era (2011-present) in the category.
Junior D Alexa Hinojosa (Pasadena, Texas) is the team leader in both goals (2) and points (4) this season while senior MF/D Gabby McDonald (Pasadena, Texas) is the leader in assists with two.
The Ladies wrap up the weekend on Sunday as they face Southwestern University at 1 p.m.
