Shreveport - The Centenary women's soccer team fell 2-0 to the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference match on Friday evening at Mayo Field.

The Ladies dropped to 0-10-1 overall and 0-3 in SCAC play while the Bulldogs improved to 3-5-1 and 3-1 in conference action. Friday's match was the Ladies' first in conference play at home after opening up last weekend at Schreiner and Trinity.

Alyssa Simien scored in the 24th minute to give the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead, with the assist credited to Samantha Martinez. TLU took that lead into halftime. Klarissa Martinez then found the net for an unassisted goal at the 65:55 mark of the second half for a 1-0 lead

Sophomore GK Madison Ersoff (Shreveport, La.) played all 90 minutes for the Ladies and recorded three saves. Elena Rivera went the distance in goal for the Bulldogs and did not make a save in her shutout. The Bulldogs finished with a 14-9 edge in shots and each team took three corner kicks. The teams combined for 10 fouls and the Bulldogs had the only yellow card of the match.

The Ladies wrap up the weekend on Sunday as they face Southwestern University at 1 p.m.
