Shreveport - The Centenary women's basketball team will face Millsaps College on Wednesday evening in a non-conference contest set for 5:30 p.m. at the Gold Dome.

The Ladies (1-5) and Majors (5-1) meet for the second time in four days after Millsaps defeated the Ladies by a score of 77-59 on Sunday in the final game of the Millsaps Thanksgiving Classic in Jackson, Miss.
Centenary went 1-1 last weekend after defeating Hendrix by a score of 80-69 on Saturday for their first win of the season. Millsaps has won five games in a row after a 67-66 loss in its season opener at Huntingdon College on Nov. 10.
Ladies' Individual Season Statistical Leaders:
Scoring: Sophomore G Amiyah Barrow (Baton Rouge, La.) – 12.0 PPG
Rebounding: Junior G Alana Jones (Shreveport, La.) – 7.2 RPG
Assists: Barrow – 1.7/game
Blocks: Senior F Amelia Bagwell (West Monroe, La.) – 0.8/game
Steals: Jones – 2.0/game
Sophomore F Layla Powell (Fort Worth, Texas) averages 7.5 PPG and 3.5 RPG, Bagwell averages 6.0 PPG, and sophomore F Kyra Stokes (Shreveport, La.) is averaging 6.8 PPG and 4.0 RPG. Jones averages 7.7 PPG and her 7.2 rebounds/game are sixth-best in the conference, sophomore G TaNyjah Plumber (Kinder, La.) also averages 7.7, and freshman G Mallory Dougharty (Evadale, Texas) averages 2.8 PPG.
Barrow led the Ladies on Sunday versus the Majors with 15 points, reaching double figures for the second-straight day after scoring 13 in the win over Hendrix on Saturday. Barrow scored in double figures for the fourth time in six games this season. Stokes joined her in double figures as she scored a season-high 14 in 22 minutes off the bench on 4-12 shooting from the floor and made 6-8 from the FT line. She added seven rebounds and one assist.
Sophomore G Madison Davis (Shreveport, La.) scored a season-high nine points in 26 minutes as she was 3-7 from the floor and 3-6 from beyond the arc with two assists and a rebound, Jones added seven in her 27 minutes with three rebounds, three steals, and one assist on 3-7 shooting and went 1-1 at the FT line. Plumber finished with six points one day after scoring a career-best 23. She was 2-8 and 2-4 from 3-point range in 25 minutes with four rebounds and a blocked shot.
Dougharty had a team-high 10 rebounds and scored eight points in 23 minutes. She was 2-7 from the floor and a perfect 4-4 at the FT line with three assists, a blocked shot, and a steal. Jones and Powell each scored 11 points in the Hendrix win and Bagwell scored seven points and grabbed four rebounds
Centenary had its best offensive game of the season against Hendrix, shooting 41.3 % (26-63) from the floor for the game, 34.8 % (8-23) from beyond the arc, and 76.9 % (20-26) from the free throw line. The Ladies' 80 points are a season best and they also posted their best FG %, FT %, and had their most made 3-point baskets in a game. The Ladies also won a close rebounding battle, 38-37, and finished with 11 assists, six steals, and three blocked shots.
The Ladies will open Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play on the road this weekend, with games at Austin College (Friday, Dec. 1 at 8 p.m.) and Dallas (Saturday, Dec. 2 at 6 p.m.).
