Houston- The Centenary women's basketball team returns to action on Tuesday evening as the Ladies face the University of St. Thomas Celts in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference contest set for 8 p.m. inside the Jerabeck Activity and Athletics Center.

The Ladies (1-8, 0-2 SCAC) look to win their first conference game of the season after dropping a pair of games last weekend at Austin College and Dallas. The Celts (2-7, 1-1 SCAC) also played Austin College and Dallas last weekend, falling to Dallas and defeating the 'Roos. St. Thomas is 1-3 at home this season and leads the all-time series with Centenary, 6-2.
Centenary averages 54.0 PPG, shoots 30.1 % from the floor, 27.2 % from beyond the arc, and 70.7 % from the free throw line while averaging 35.3 rebounds per game. St. Thomas averages 55.2 PPG, shoots 33.2 % from the floor, 28.9 % from 3-point range, 60.3 % from the FT line, and 33.2 rebounds/game.

Sophomore G TaNyjah Plumber (Kinder, La.) averaged 15.5 PPG in the two games last weekend, and averages 9.1 PPG and 3.6 rebounds/game this season. Sophomore F Layla Powell (Fort Worth, Texas) averages 7.9 PPG, Jones averages 6.8 PPG, Stokes 6.1 PPG, and senior F Amelia Bagwell (West Monroe, La.) averages 6.0 PPG. Freshman G Mallory Dougharty (Evadale, Texas) averages 4.0 PPG and sophomore G Madison Davis (Shreveport, La.) 2.8 PPG.
Centenary remains on the road for an exhibition contest against the McNeese State University Cowgirls in Lake Charles set for 5:30 p.m. at the Legacy Center.
